Orca will be reconfigured soon to provide an updated environment nearly identical to Graham/Cedar, and using ComputeCanada account credentials.

We have the new cluster operating now (so “legacy” Orca is operating with a somewhat fewer nodes), and will be opened for general use in 1-2 weeks.

Orca will be out of service starting 9am Tuesday January 30 until 9am Thursday February 1. The scheduler has been configured not to start jobs that would not complete before 9am Tuesday. Any existing interactive sessions will be killed, and you will be unable to log in during the outage. This outage is required to install security patches to address recently identified vulnerabilities. At the same time we will be moving most users to new, more stable storage servers. All data will be moved for you.
