MAPLE (Application)

Maple is a sophisticated computer algebra system for symbolic and numerical computing. Maple Release 15 includes thread and grid toolboxes that support parallel processing on multicore systems and clusters.

Licensing Information

Maple requires a site licence. UW and UWO are currently setup for this capability. If you reside at an institution with sharcnet compute hardware on site and your IT dept has a site license that can be used, open a ticket and sharcnet staff will provide support to establish the license connection. Maple 16 includes thread and grid packages for parallel processing however to perform parallel processing on distributed nodes on a cluster, a Maple Grid Computing Toolbox (GCT) license is required. Check with the IT department of your home institution to inquire if its supported by their site license.
