MERCURIAL (Utility)

Introduction

Mercurial is a free, distributed source control management tool. It offers you the power to efficiently handle projects of any size while using an intuitive interface. It is easy to use and hard to break, making it ideal for anyone working with versioned files. Mercurial is used for version control of files. Similar projects include Git and Bazaar. Version control systems without a distributed architecture include Subversion and CVS.

o Nov 4, 2014: Installed mercurial-2.8.2 and mercurial-hgk-2.8.1 on vdi-fedora20, viz10-uwo and viz11-uwo. Installed mercurial-2.6.2 and mercurial-hgk-2.6.2 on vdi-centos6 using backport rpms.
o Aug 7, 2014: Upgraded to mercurial-2.6.2 and mercurial-hgk-2.6.2 using tysons fedora 19 backport rpms then removed the mercurial/2.0.1 sharcnet module again from angel, brown, goblin, guppy, hound, iqaluk, kraken, mako, monk, orca, redfin, saw and wobbie.
o Aug 1, 2014: Reinstalled mercurial/2.0.1 to angel, brown, goblin, guppy, hound, iqaluk, kraken, mako, monk, orca, redfin, saw, plus wobbie.
o Jul 29, 2014: Removed mercurial/2.0.1 from angel, brown, goblin, guppy, hound, iqaluk, kraken, mako, monk, orca, redfin and saw.
o Jul 21, 2014: Installed mercurial-1.4 and mercurial-hgk-1.4 system rpms on angel, brown, goblin, hound, iqaluk, kraken, monk, orca, redfin, saw and wobbie.
o Dec 12, 2011: Removed default version 1.3.1 and installed the mercurial/2.0.1 module.
