REMINDER:

A power outage is scheduled for Wednesday January 4/17 @ 8am which will affect a number of critical systems including global /work. We will also use this time to perform some system maintenance which will involve killing all running jobs.

The systems should be available again by the end of the work day.

We do not expect any loss of data but important files should be backed up elsewhere.

Any questions or concerns should be directed to help@sharcnet.ca

Starting yesterday afternoon, /global/b has returned to service on all Sharcnet clusters. We apologize for the extended outage, and believe that there was no loss of data. In recognition of how this outage was disruptive to 1/3 of users, affected users will be given higher inter-cluster fairshare/priority.

If you notice problems, please report via the ticket system: help@sharcnet.ca or https://www.sharcnet.ca/my/problems/submit
