HPC Best Practices: Minimizing Your Time to Results

Description

This session will present general issues and common pitfalls that one should be aware of when using HPC systems. By following common best practices one can obtain their results more quickly and at the same time minimize their burden on shared system resources. Walk-through examples and case studies will be presented during the session to illustrate the concepts.

Instructor: Ge Baolai, SHARCNET, Western University.

Prerequisites: Basic familiarity with programming as well as compiling and running programs via the SHARCNET command line environment
