About Summer School
The Summer School on High Performance and Technical Computing provides attendees with opportunities to learn and share knowledge and experience in high performance and technical computing on platforms with the latest technologies. The four full-day summer school, offering intensive courses on a number of selected subjects, including
- Programming distributed systems using message passing;
- Programming shared memory systems with threads; Programming GPGPUs Parallel computing: theory and practice
- Debugging and profiling
- Using packages and libraries for scientific and engineering computing
- Visualization
- And others.
The four day summer school will include both in-class lectures and computer labs with hands-on exercises on programming distributed and shared memory systems, cell systems and GPGPUs.
SHARCNET has held annual training workshops since 2001. The event moved from fall to summer in 2007, and it was extended to a week-long event with more hands-on sessions. Details on past workshops can be found at the link on the side menu.
