14.1.6 Defining Other Sources of Chemical Species

You can define a source or sink of a chemical species within the computational domain by defining a source term in the Fluid panel. You may choose this approach when species sources exist in your problem but you do not want to model them through the mechanism of chemical reactions. Section  7.28 describes the procedures you follow to define species sources in your FLUENT model. If the source is not a constant, you can use a user-defined function. See the separate UDF Manual. for details about user-defined functions.
