32.11.1 Turbo/Report...

The Turbo/Report... menu item opens the Turbo Report panel.



Turbo Report Panel


The Turbo Report panel allows you to calculate turbomachinery-specific quantities and integrals. See Section  28.9.2 for details.

Controls

Inlet/Outlet Data   contains quantities that can be calculated at inlets and outlets.
Averages   allows you to choose between Mass-Weighted and Area-Weighted averages for all applicable computed quantities. These quantities are calculated for the Inlet and Outlet topologies where applicable.

Turbo Topology   contains a list of defined topologies. Select from the list to display the values for the selected topology.

Mass Flow   is the mass flow rate through a surface as defined in Equation  28.9-1.

Swirl Number   is the swirl number as defined in Equation  28.9-2.

Average Total Pressure   is the area-averaged or mass-averaged total pressure as defined in Equation  28.9-4 or Equation  28.9-5.

Average Total Temperature   is the area-averaged or mass-averaged total temperature as defined in Equation  28.9-6 or Equation  28.9-7.

Average Radial Flow Angle   is the area-averaged or mass-averaged radial flow angle as defined in Equation  28.9-8 or Equation  28.9-10.

Average Theta Flow Angle   is the area-averaged or mass-averaged tangential flow angle as defined in Equation  28.9-9 or Equation  28.9-11.

Losses   contains the values of loss-related coefficients.
Engr. Passage Loss Coef   is the engineering loss coefficient as defined in Equation  28.9-12.

Norm. Passage Loss Coef   is the normalized loss coefficient as defined in Equation  28.9-13.

Forces   contains the axial force and the torque on the rotating parts.
Axial Force   is the axial force on the rotating parts as defined in Equation  28.9-14.

Torque   is the torque on the rotating parts as defined in Equation  28.9-15.

Efficiencies   contains the values of isentropic, polytropic and hydraulic efficiencies.
Isentropic   is the isentropic efficiency for a compressor or a turbine (motor) calculated in the presence of a compressible working fluid as defined in Equation  28.9-20 or Equation  28.9-26.

Polytropic   is the polytropic efficiency for a compressor or a turbine (motor) calculated in the presence of a compressible working fluid as defined in Equation  28.9-21 or Equation  28.9-27.

Hydraulic   is the hydraulic efficiency for a pump or a hydraulic turbine (motor) calculated in the presence of an incompressible working fluid as defined in Equation  28.9-16 or Equation  28.9-22.

Compute   starts the calculation of the quantities in all the fields in the Turbo Report panel. Note that this process may take some time for a large problem.

Write...   opens the Select File dialog box, which you can use to save the reported values to a file.
