Parallel Computing in MATLAB

Matlab is a program that was originally designed to simplify the implementation of numerical linear algebra routines. It has since grown into something much bigger, and it is used to implement numerical algorithms for a wide range of applications. The new parallel computing toolbox enables users to solve computationally and data-intensive problems in a multiprocessor computing environment.

This is an introduction to Parallel Computing Toolbox in MATLAB. We will go through some basic PCT concepts and functionalities with examples, the PCT client-server model and configuration, and particularly how to run MATLAB PCT codes on SHARCNET cluster.

Prerequisites: No prior knowledge of Matlab is assumed.
